Tanya Smith-Sreen has volunteered for causes in Sri Lanka, Kenya and Washington, DC. She is a graduate of the International School of Kenya. At American University Tanya is in the School of International Services. She published a book of poetry called Can You Hear Us Now? to raise money for Bethlehem Creche, a daycare for impoverished children in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Danielle Maldonado is double majoring in Comparative Literature and Global Studies. She is an officer in UCSB’s A.S. Womyn’s Commission and has organized events such as the Womyn of Color Conference, “I am Beautiful” Runway Show, and Womyn Unite Banquet. She is also an undergraduate editor of UCSB’s Global Societies Journal.

Cheyane Reisner is a student in Government and Gender Studies, with an English Minor. She has taken leadership as a Peer Advocate at the Center for Sex and Gender Relations and in organizing a Take Back the Night event.

Nikki Clemons is a student in English, Language and Literature with a minor in Women and Gender Studies. She is an editor of To Earth From Venus Zine. Nikki also helped organize a Take Back the Night march against violence against women.
Karma AbuAyyash

Karma AbuAyyash worked with Jawwal Telecommunications Company in May 2013 and has experience with filming and editing. She is fluent in both English and Arabic and her knowledge of German and French will be valuable in updating our international Directory of Women’s Media. Karma volunteers with many organizations, including the Palestinian Medical Relief Society.
Noa Shusterman

Noa Shusterman is a student with the New Story Leadership for the Middle East. http://www.newstoryleadership.org
She is a media analyst and monitor in the Prime-Minister’s office. Her field is Philosophy, Politics and Economics. Noa participated in the “Hope XXL” peace panorama held in The Hague in September, 2013. She also participated in “Breaking Barriers,” a joint seminar for Israelis and Palestinians about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, held in Germany in August of 2013.
